My name is Roshan Menezes, a seafarer, creator, and the voice behind Voice From The Sea.
By profession, I am a Merchant Navy officer currently sailing as a Third Mate and working towards becoming a Chief Mate. Life at sea has shaped who I am by teaching me discipline, patience, and the true value of time. But beyond the uniform, I have always been a creator. 

My creative journey started around 2019–2020, not as a brand but as a passion, experimenting with handmade crafts and digital designs under different names, always driven by one intention —
to create things that mean something. 

One of those journeys became my Etsy store, where I worked alongside my mother, combining her love for handmade craft with my interest in digital design, and over time, that small beginning grew into over 1,200 sales with a 4.9-star rating, reaching customers not just across India but internationally,
with many returning again and again.

That experience taught me something important — people don’t just buy products, they connect with them. Over the years, I have created handmade speakers, light boxes, craft flowers, bookmarks, magnetic bookmarks, stickers, gospel and biblical frames, and wooden crafts, all made with time, intention, and care, never mass-produced and never rushed. I don’t follow trends or build for volume; I build with meaning, because I truly believe that anything handmade carries a feeling, a memory, and a story, and when someone chooses to buy something handmade, they are not just purchasing an item but taking home a piece of that journey.

Voice From The Sea is where everything comes together — my life at sea, my passion for creating, and my journey of building something meaningful in an honest and organic way, without forcing growth or chasing trends, but trusting that what goes around comes around and
that this path will take me exactly where I need to go.

Beyond the ocean and the workshop, I am also a husband, a father and a Son, constantly balancing life between long voyages and moments at home, and everything I build is part of a bigger purpose — to create something real, lasting, and meaningful for my family and for the people who connect with this journey.

 Voice From The Sea is not just a store; it is a reflection of a life being lived between two worlds - a space where stories, craftsmanship, and authenticity come together,
